Mother's Day Annual Photo Shoot...and more specials to boot!

It's time for the annual Mother's Day photo shoot! This year the shoot is by appointment (only), Saturday May 11, 9-10 am and 2:00-4:00 pm.

This is a great time to bring Moms and Grandmas together! Get your Legacy photographed in a beautiful black-and-white, hand-painted portrait for your wall!

I do know that Mother's Day weekend can be really hectic, so this year I'm offering many more HUGE specials. You can check them all out at: http://conta.cc/12UNHXF

Let's go on location

The difference between a studio shot and an out-door shot is vast! I often tell my clients that if they usually do a studio shot, let's take the show out-side!

The weather often doesn't cooperate...but if you can wait for it....it will definitely come, eventually.

Important for me, I get to show you what I can really do with my hand-painting. The flowering trees are amazing in Kansas City! Let's take advantage of it this year!

MOTHER'S DAY EVENT! Saturday May 12, 9-11:30 & 2:00-5:00. By appointment only.

Every year I set aside one day, usually the Saturday before Mother's Day, to honor mothers and grandmothers by taking a roll of film of them with their children and grandchildren.

This event has definitely become more popular each year. It seems like people are recognizing the importance of having those Legacy portriats for keeps. We're all getting older--that's a good thing--and we need to capture and treasure the days that we have together.

Location, Location, Location!

People often ask me, "when is the best time of year for an out-door shoot?" My answer is usually Spring...TODAY!

Everything looks happy! The trees are covered in new leaves and flowers are blooming. Nothing looks like it's worn out by too much heat. The temperature is perfect! The early morning and late afternoon light is golden and beautiful. There are no bugs--especially mosquitoes!

Refer-a-Friend Program

I've always known that the best NEW clients come from my regular ones! The best recommendation I can get is from someone who was happy with their experience at my studio and has proudly displayed their portraits on the walls of their homes.

The best way to keep good clients spreading the word is to reward them! Just tell your friends to mention that you sent them to me, and you'll get a $100 credit towards anything you need! I'll give them great photos....promise.

BRAND SPANKIN' NEW HOLIDAY CARDS!

We are so excited about our New Holiday Cards!

I've wanted a new look for so long but have found it difficult to find the right designs and then printed for a price that didn't scare everyone away!

Then came LIndsay!~

My assistant Lindsay, also a graphic designer, understood what I was looking for and came up with new looks that enhance the photograph rather than distract from it.

HALLOWEEN SHOOT *2011*

We'll be having our Annual Halloween Shoot on:

Saturday, October 29, 2011, 9-11:30 am and again on Halloween Day, Monday, October 31, 9:00-11:30 am and 3:00-5:00 pm.

A roll of film gets you fabulous photos of your ghosts, gobblins and super heros and your proofs! From your proofs, get black-and-white or black-and-white, hand-painted photographs that are about the cutest things ever to collect over the years! I put my own boys  through it every year and love, love, love, to look at the photos year after year!

Faces on Film

I've started a new photo project: "Faces on Film."

I came up with the concept because I love portraits of all kinds of people.

I'll be traveling to different locations in and around town. I will set up my white backdrop and take a portrait of anyone who wants to stop and stand in front of it. The pictures will be taken with my Hasselblad. I'll shoot with film and i'll process and print the portraits like I always do.

FATHER'S DAY!

What do you get for the Dad, or as we call him in our house, the Pop, who has everything? Or, the Pop who doesn't want anything? Pictures!!!!!

I've never heard of the Father that is bummed out because all he got for Father's Day was a portrait of his kids! Better yet, a picture of his kids and his wife.

HONOR YOUR MOTHER! (Mother's Day is May 8th!)

I started having a special Mother's Day Shoot a few years ago and I have to say that it is most definitely one of my favorites! I am all about the "Generational Portraits." The older I get, the more important family pictures become to me. The snapshots are great, but it's the timeless black-and-white pictures I want to frame and spread all over my house.
