Location, Location, Location!
People often ask me, "when is the best time of year for an out-door shoot?" My answer is usually Spring...TODAY!
Everything looks happy! The trees are covered in new leaves and flowers are blooming. Nothing looks like it's worn out by too much heat. The temperature is perfect! The early morning and late afternoon light is golden and beautiful. There are no bugs--especially mosquitoes!
I went for a walk with my Pop in Loose Park this morning, The rose garden could not look more beautiful. The roses are in full bloom. It's my number one favorite place to shoot. I grew up across the street and know it like the back of my hand! Not only is there beautiful stone work and flowers, but beautiful streches of nothing but grass. The trees are so old each has a character of it's own.
My other favorite place is the one that has special meaning to you, the client. I love taking pictures in front of your house or in your garden or whatever you love about your home. Years from now, think about what you want to see in your family portrait. I love seeing old pictures with my parents, and granparents with their homes in the background. Even little bits in the picture allows us to use our imagination of what must have been.
So.....that's why I'm offering a special on location shoots! The best time to go outside and shoot is most definitely today -- before May 20, 2012 if you want the discount!
